Every guide on this site starts with the app installed on a real device. We set it up the way a new user would, use it for normal viewing over several days, and only then write about it.
We test on five phones that represent the Android devices our readers actually own: Samsung Galaxy A55 (Android 15), Google Pixel 8 (Android 16), Redmi Note 13 Pro (Android 14), Infinix Note 40 Pro (Android 14), Samsung Galaxy A13 (Android 12).
On top of phone testing, television behavior is checked on Android TV and Fire TV class hardware where a guide makes claims about the big screen. Facts such as version, file size, package name, and ratings are verified against the app information for the current release.
If a feature behaves differently in our tests than in a listing or a press description, the guide reports what we found. When readers report an error, we retest and correct the page.
